There are usually 6\u20137 departures daily, and the journey takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The same company also operates <strong>frequent buses (approximately every hour)<\/strong> from <strong>Estaci\u00f3n Sur \u2013 M\u00e9ndez \u00c1lvaro Bus Station<\/strong> in central Madrid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alternatively, there are <strong>2\u20134 fast trains per day<\/strong> from <strong>Madrid\u2013Chamart\u00edn Train Station<\/strong> to Salamanca, with a travel time of about <strong>90 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From <strong>Madrid Airport<\/strong>, the easiest way to reach the train station is by <strong>Cercan\u00edas (suburban railway)<\/strong>. The <strong>Cercan\u00edas line C-1<\/strong> connects <strong>Terminal 4 of the airport<\/strong> with <strong>Chamart\u00edn station<\/strong> in about <strong>15\u201320 minutes<\/strong>. This option is generally faster and more convenient than the Metro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A <strong>taxi from the airport<\/strong> to either <strong>Chamart\u00edn station<\/strong> or <strong>M\u00e9ndez \u00c1lvaro Bus Station<\/strong> has a <strong>fixed fare of \u20ac30<\/strong> and takes approximately <strong>20\u201330 minutes<\/strong>, depending on traffic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Further information about <strong>Cercan\u00edas services<\/strong> can be found at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renfe.com\/es\/en\/suburban\/suburban-madrid\">https:\/\/www.renfe.com\/es\/en\/suburban\/suburban-madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Accommodation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are several good hotels in the university area, although the entire historic centre of Salamanca is within easy walking distance of the University. In the old town, everything in fact is within walking distance and generally easily accessible for people with reduced mobility, as the centre of Salamanca is mostly flat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prices for <strong>3-star hotels<\/strong> typically start at around <strong>\u20ac70 per night<\/strong>, while many very good <strong>4-star hotels<\/strong> can be found for approximately <strong>\u20ac80\u2013110 per night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Fonseca\u2013Irish College<\/strong> itself offers <strong>41 double rooms<\/strong> for participants attending activities organised by the University.
