Call for PapersXVIII International Congress of Celtic Studies – Salamanca. 26–30 April 2027

Salamanca University is delighted to host the 18th International Congress of Celtic Studies! This five-day event (Monday to Friday) will feature four days of engaging presentations, a midweek excursion on Wednesday, and a rich cultural programme, offering participants a chance to explore both the academic and historical treasures of Salamanca.

We warmly invite scholars, researchers, and students working in any area of Celtic Studies to submit proposals for:

  • 20-minute papers
  • 90-minute themed sessions
  • Poster presentations
  • Roundtables or workshops

Submissions should be sent to celticstudiescongress@usal.es with the subject line: “Abstract [paper / poster / session / roundtable / workshop] + Last Name.” You may submit up to two abstracts: one for a themed session and one as an individual contribution.

Paper proposals should include: author’s name, affiliation (if any), email address, paper title, and a 200–300 word abstract. Deadline: 1 November 2026.

Roundtables, themed sessions, and workshop proposals should include: organiser(s) name(s), affiliation(s), email address(es), title, and a 200–300 word description. Deadline: 1 October 2026.
